Vegetable Rice Medley

Long grain rice cooked with water, soup mix and mixed vegetables.
Ingredients -
1 cup Uncooked Long Grain Rice
2-1/4 cups Water
2 to 3 tablespoons Onion or Vegetable Soup Mix
1/4 teaspoon Coarse Salt
2 cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables
 
Preparation:

1. Add uncooked long grain rice, water, and soup mix to saucepan. Season with salt.

2. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Stir in frozen vegetables and return to a boil.

3. Reduce heat to low, cover saucepan with lid, and simmer for 15 minutes.

4. Remove from heat, leave covered, and let stand 5 minutes.
